another day spent looking at houses. Many of the houses we have looked at have had resident cats, which is nice, but I’m always surprised when the cat is just hanging out right in the open. We went to one house where the cat was on the table by the sign in sheets. Today’s kitty was on the bed upstairs. He (she?) was very cute and let me pet him. He has no tail.
I can’t imagine Parker being this relaxed as a bunch of strangers trooped through the house. It’s not even worth thinking about Winnie doing it.

“it will be okay”
I love stuff like this. Someone stopped on her way to somewhere just to write this message. Who is she? Was she hanging around, watching people read her message? What did other people think of it? Who is her message for?
I had already taken another picture but then a coworker told me about this message, so I had to go outside and find it. It makes me happy that someone wrote it.
baby it’s cold outside
plow
In the past, Doug has been in charge of the driveway and I’ve been in charge of the walk. If there was too much snow, then to hell with the long back driveway til spring. But because we are trying to sell the house, we need to keep it clear, so we hired a plow service this year.
By next winter, we’d better be dealing with the driveway in our new house. Wherever that may be…
here we go again
bookworm
I’m a reader. Ask anyone who knows me, even a little bit, and they will know that I read. A lot. I read all kinds of stuff: mysteries, chick-lit, kids’ books, travel…. But I’m not a book buyer at all. I have been a huge library user for literally as long as I can remember. Going to the library is part of my routine every week, and if I “run out of book” during the week, it’s a crisis.
Here I am at the Framingham Public Library, in a pretty typical pose.
fruity
You can usually count on Whole Foods to have some kind of interesting produce item. These little things caught my eye today. They look like pears with a little butt-crack on one end. It turns out they are plums. Who knew!
Also worth noting that it’s one month into the project now, and while I’ve had a couple days where I wasn’t thrilled with my choice of subject, I haven’t yet resorted to any of the ideas I’m holding for days when I can’t come up with any good ideas. On to month two!
