Had dinner at Gather in Boston tonight with our 2 nephews.  One of them noticed that among all the white and amber lightbulbs, there was this one odd green one…

Trying out a new look at work.  You know….like you do.

On Saturday, we celebrated Physiology Understanding (PhUn) at work, and when the event was over, I just tossed everything on my work table.  When I was cleaning up today, I found our mascot had landed in a bit of a delicate position.

Boston’s Official Pumpkin was on display at the Boston Open Market.  Not sure which of these monstrosities is it, but I found all of them a bit grotesque.

Recently, a bunch of folks at work went crazy and organized our materials resource room, which, as you can imagine, has a large assortment of stuff in it.  Including several different size cups.

There was actually one interesting thing on the local ballot…the city  is hoping to revise its charter, and we’re voting on the committee to do it.

While Doug and Susan went to a tasting at Shipyard Brewery, I found my way to a bookstore that had a very amusing way of labeling its Fiction section.

Since we’re in Maine, it was an opportunity to get together with Bridget, who I haven’t seen in a few years.  We had brunch then she brought us to this crazy place called Liberty Tool.  The first floor is every kind of tool and hardware you can think of, as long as it’s not electric.  The top two floors were like a hardware store met a flea market; as Doug described it “it’s like a whole town’s worth of grandfathers died and sent the contents of all their workshops and attics to this one store.”

Went for a walk around an historical cemetery in Portland this afternoon.  Cemeteries are often nice places to walk, and it seemed an appropriate thing to do on Halloween.
