Italian victory

A few months back, the Newton mayor declared that the Italian flag stripe down the road did not  meet state safety standards, and it would have to be painted over with a double line.   This was in the very Italian section of the city, and people were pissed.  They went out and repainted it, then the yellow lines returned.    This year, we elected a new mayor, and one of the first thing he’s done is restore the stripes.

too hot for blankets

It was far too hot to sit on the porch today, so I headed up to the loft, which has AC.  Ferrous was already up there, and rushed over when I sat down, then proceeded to walk around me for several minutes.  “Look,”  I said to him, “I am not getting under a blanket so you can get under it with me.”   I think he was disappointed, but did finally settle down.

new friend

OK, it’s neither a very exciting picture, nor a very good one.  The story is, a new neighbor moved across the street sometime last fall, and we finally got around to inviting her over for drinks or whatever (this is her wine glass).  And I really enjoyed hanging out with her.  I am hoping we have a new friend.

yes! and…

My improv meetup disappeared during the pandemic, unsurprisingly.  I found an online group, and it was fun, but not the same.  A couple weeks ago, I thought “There’s GOT to be another group out there.”  So I searched MeetUp and not only found a group in Davis Square, but it was run by the same guy who ran the one in Cambridge.  I am so excited to have it back.
