I never got around to having fried clams on the Vineyard this year, so today on the way home, Doug and I stopped at a place perfectly called “The Clam Shack.”   Delicious.

Unsurprisingly, the contents of the bar have diminished greatly, but Doug and Jeff were still able to cobble together some cocktails.

Kat and I got our annual pedicures today. I usually just leave mine alone and see how long it takes for the polish to disappear. The last of it is usually still barely clinging on in May.

Kat, Liz and I took advantage of the fact that Kat has her car this year, and went for a ride up-island.  For lunch, we stopped at the little fishing village of Menemsha, where I spotted this amusing sign on the front of a shop.

Rachel and I poked around Vineyard Haven this afternoon, and found this very attractive rooster. Neither of us opted to purchase it. It probably wouldn’t fit in either of our suitcases anyway.

Yep, we’ve definitely made it to the Vineyard.

I’ll be curious to find out what I’ve forgotten this year.  There’s always something…

Today at work we played with this photosensitive paper to make cool images. It’s fun and incredibly easy to do. You can find the paper online; just search for “sun print paper.”

I desperately needed to take a short break today, and just be outside for 10 minutes.  I spent most of that time watching the antics of the sparrows, especially this one, who kept hopping up on the chair opposite me.
