one of my colleagues brought these tasty Valentine’s cookies to a meeting today. Apparently, there were lots of choices for the messages, but most were not appropriate for work.

Ice storms make the trees look beautiful, but they sure make one hell of a mess on roads and sidewalks. That should be planned better.

We’re trying our next great adventure in animal keeping at work with this guy and three more like him. I think he’s cute.

Meanwhile, all four hermit crabs need names (not that we’ll really be able to tell them apart long-term and we can’t tell their genders) and the folks at work have fallen down on the job of coming up with good suggestions.

not that we’re getting a lot of snow tomorrow, but enough that the museum will need to clear the plaza in front…

What the hell does this display mean? I mean seriously….what’s the marketing message here?

in Anchorage they have tall markers on hydrants so they can find them in the snow. I guess it’s never seemed necessary around here. Until now.

My mom and I were also amused at the way you can see the layers of snow. You could pull out a core sample and do a geologic study.

or maybe not. this is the little bench and table at the back of our yard. they do both have legs, I swear.
