This is exactly what it appears to be–a giant Bert-head Pez dispenser.  Apparently, if batteries are installed, it will talk to you.  I don’t know what it would say.

It’s December 15 and the bulbs are coming up.  Much as I hate the winter, I recognize that this is just not right.

Like all good gingerbread houses, this one has Necco wafers for shingles.  It’s really the  only thing Necco wafers are good for, because lord knows, nobody wants to eat them.

This is the paper that tells you if you are a supertaster, a non-taster or somewhere in between.  For supertasters, like me, the instant it touches the tongue, it is immediately the nastiest bitter flavor you have ever experienced in your life and you want to cut your tongue out of your head to make it stop.  For non-tasters, like Doug, it tastes like paper.

It was quiet in Harvard Square tonight, even in the parking garage.  It must be finals week.

Our friend Carlos makes these delicious little treats and we call them his “crack cookies” because there’s clearly something highly addictive in them, as evidenced by the pile of empty wrappers.
