Conversation before bed tonight:
Doug: If you think of it tomorrow, can you put these in the sun to charge?
Me: I won’t think of it. Leave me a note.
Doug: IF you think of it…
Me: I won’t. Just leave a note.
Doug: Here, I’ll put it on your phone.
Me: Then I’ll wonder “Why the hell did Doug put this on my phone?”
Doug: I’m going to bed.
This is what I saw when I walked through the kitchen 10 minutes later.

A very important part of my day

Cherry chocolate chip ice cream! Doug is of the opinion that it wasn’t worth the trouble it took to make it, and I must concur. Though it sure is a beautiful color.

Something new my library is offering: you can check out a tablet that is pre-loaded with content. Some have games, some are instructional (like languages) or for study (geometry). Cool stuff.

I’m thinking a kid drew this as part of our fishing program at work, and it’s supposed to be some kind of fish? But……I just don’t know….

I know that with my little point-and-shoot, I can’t possibly get photos as good as Doug’s. But I can get perfectly good photos of Doug.

I was grabbing some cherries to put in my lunch, and this little red one spilled out. The one behind it is a normal size cherry. I did not eat the little one; I imagine it would not have tasted good.

Doug’s worked in the city for 6 weeks and seen him twice. I’ve worked in Boston almost 20 years, and never come across this local character….until today. I am probably the only person in Boston more excited about seeing Keytar Bear than I was about Wally the Green Monster coming to work today.

This afternoon, I went to lift a box off of another box, but it was stuck. Stuck like glue. Then I noticed a trail of sticky looking stuff running down the front of the shelves. I followed it to its source, on the top shelf, and discovered a half empty bottle of corn syrup. Not a nice surprise in the middle of an already busy day…
