Our closet system was installed today. Once the contractor has stopped making abrasive tile dust I’ll be able to move my clothes in here.

It could be a bunny, a chipmunk, a bird, a bug, … or Bigfoot. Ferrous’s reaction would be the same.

Boston’s C-Mart Asian grocery store is moving to Newton. They’re not open yet, awaiting final permits, but have stocked dry goods. This is a view through the front window.

I rarely take pictures of a weeknight dinner, but tonight’s was so pretty (and tasty, as it turns out) that I had to. Chicken donburi with fresh English peas, sauteed spinach, chopped red pepper, julienne carrots, and fried chicken skin, all over brown Basmati rice.

What conversation are these mockingbirds having?

We’ve had some delays due to materials, but today the window was installed in our ensuite bathroom (it didn’t have a window at all before) and it makes such a *huge* difference in the feel of the room, even while a bunch of things remain incomplete. The room feels simultaneously more spacious and more cozy, and your eye’s focus is no longer dominated by one big blank wall.

Now that there’s tile on the wall, the vanity in our ensuite bathroom is installed.

It has been templated for its top & sink, and we’ve ordered some sample pulls since we don’t like the ones it came with (reversed for shipping in this photo).
