Technology

Ding dong

Tonight’s project: we now have a wired doorbell. The actual ringer is not where I wanted it to go, because fishing the wire to its intended location proved too challenging. But it’s done, and it works, and the outdoor part will soon be replaced with a video doorbell.

Rusty

Opening up a wall under our stairs to see if I can stuff in some more insulation, I found a few old items including this rusty kitchen tool. I’m pretty sure it has cut its last biscuit.

Lunch

(Yes, a 2nd post from me today. I didn’t want to make this a bonus photo on the previous post.)

Spousal duties

Today I rebuilt Lis’s booth table in preparation for her fair next weekend. This 40-year-old aluminum table is light, easy to carry, and about the right size. But its pressboard top had become warped and unstable, so I replaced it with thin plywood. We’ll see how it goes!
