Gandalf is built for the cold weather we’re experiencing. But he’s not above sitting pretty in front of the heat vent for some extra help.

We have one bathroom over a crawlspace. Experience has taught us to leave the water running at a trickle in the temperatures that are predicted for tonight, to prevent frozen pipes.

The bright color of these berries really stands out on this grey, dingy day. But if there’s a color that says “don’t eat me” any stronger than this I don’t know what it is.

I opened our Imperfect Foods box and exclaimed, “Everything is round!”

Who was the first person who said, “Hey, those flowers over there… I wonder what their stamens taste like?”

Subtle fall decoration, or happy accident? These two small pumpkins were sitting on the grass strip between the sidewalk and a busy road.

…is the kind who leaves bags of exotic, small batch coffee on your desk.

…for pasta. A good way to use up a lone extra beet from Thanksgiving.

As in some previous years, our cherry tree is not quite sure what to make of the fall weather.

The mice have gotten into the cheese!
