That’s a half-pound Pearl hot dog on a griddled bun, topped with chili, BBQ sauce, mustard, and onions. The food truck has been closed since around 2013, but Troquet in the leather district inherited the rights and is serving the original recipe once again.
A new plant for us. There’s more shade in this spot than when we originally selected its neighbors. Not a native, but said to be attractive to butterflies.
My pallid meal this evening: CSA fresh kielbasa, braised in hard cider with apple, onion, butter, and garlic; roasted red potato; cauliflower cooked in the braising leftovers; and New England IPA.
