I am rebooting this Project 365 blog.  But I am changing the format, emphasizing the “Project” portion rather than the “365” portion.  I will be posting photos & entries about projects I am doing — around the house, hobbies, big cooking projects, that sort of thing — as well as travels and other themes of interest.  What I am trying to avoid is the mundane day-to-day, taking a photo just to have a photo.  But I’m trying to have more structure than when I’ve allowed myself to skip days previously.

I do have a few good photos from the past few months that I will post for catch-up.  I’ll use today’s date to keep the blog in order, but post the photo’s actual date in the text.

The kitties are coming along.  We had a good play session this evening.

Pre-wedding picnic for the families before tomorrow’s wedding. Here they’re opening the family-historic quilt my parents had framed for them.

These cans, with pennies in them, are intended as a deterrent to cats jumping up onto the stove. The upside-down contact paper on the counter serves a similar purpose.

Our new kitties are making progress today: they’re out of their hiding places, and we can pet the grey one if we approach carefully. It’ll be some time before they trust us, I’m sure, but we’ll get there.

I’m always so happy to see the Island Queen dock in Falmouth, and so sad to see it in Oak Bluffs.
