{"id":44,"date":"2012-04-04T20:29:00","date_gmt":"2012-04-04T20:29:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.parkercat.org\/remodel\/2012\/04\/04\/probably_asbestos\/"},"modified":"2012-04-04T20:29:00","modified_gmt":"2012-04-04T20:29:00","slug":"probably_asbestos","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.parkercat.org\/remodel\/2012\/04\/04\/probably_asbestos\/","title":{"rendered":"Probably asbestos"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In consultation with our contractor, we think the fibrous layer under that old linoleum is, in fact, probably asbestos.&nbsp; So we&#8217;re going to choose what the previous remodelers of this kitchen chose: encapsulation.&nbsp; We&#8217;ll leave it buried under plywood, which is a perfectly legitimate and legal thing to do.
