We went to approve the countertop slabs today.
They look good! We did not spot any defects in the pattern that we’d want to avoid in templating. The slabs for this particular man-made material (Silestone Giallo Nova) come larger than most natural stones, which has two advantages for us: our kitchen only needs 2 slabs, and we will have no seams in even our longest run. You can see a more typical sized slab peeking out behind ours.
There have been some other good developments today, which I’ll post about once the contractors leave for the day and I can get some pictures.
