Years ago, when I was judging the Boston Public School Science Fair, I met a 6th grader who did a pretty good experiment.\u00a0 His dad was a carpenter or contractor or something, and sometimes complained about the insulation he worked with.\u00a0 So the kid tested 3 kinds: one he created from blue jeans, one hybrid of that and the original, and just the original (he knew what a control was).\u00a0 While I don’t remember which won (it was either the 100% jeans or the 50%), I remember the kid. Given the timeline, I’m pretty sure he’s not responsible for this stuff himself, but I like to think he was involved somehow.<\/p>\n
