They were tearing up the sidewalk outside South Station this morning.  I don’t know if this has anything to do with the upcoming construction, or maybe the Big Bad Wolf came by….

Violet is looking much better than the last time you saw her.  I am happy to report she is resting comfortably in the garage.

Much of the city’s buildings had disappeared when I left work this afternoon, leaving only this ghostly image floating in the Channel.

Went on a field trip today to the South Shore Natural Science Center to check out their turtle exhibit, as we try to figure out how to create a new one.

Ferrous joined us as we watched a Nova special about how domesticated cats came to be.

It was so unseasonably warm and sunny today, we all sat out on the porch.

As many folks know, winter is not my favorite season, and I often have a hard time with it.  So this winter, I decided I’d keep busy trying a couple new things.  This is one of them.

This came in the mail today.   The irony is that neither of us was injured.  Unlike the accident we had 5 years ago.  Where were you then,  Brown and Goldberg?  Huh? WHERE WERE YOU THEN????

This is Alfredo.  He’s a degu.  He has a girlfriend named Fettuccine.  I said those are silly names, and his person told me I don’t know anything about picking names.  I disagreed.

A warning on the dash of my rental.  Cracked me up.  First of all, it’s not so cold that an alarm is necessitated–we’re still in double digits after all.  Second,  I have just been out in the cold before I got in the car, so I’m well aware that it’s cold out (though I realize I could conceivably be in a garage).  Third, what exactly does the car expect me to do about this???
