I had a good chuckle when I discovered that this was no ordinary chair. The door underneath hides the chamber pot, and the cushion hides the hole in the chair. Given the absolute downpour we got this first night, I might have resorted to the chamber pot if the cabin had not had plumbing.
It always makes me giggle when birds are inside–train stations, stores, whatever. Not a very good picture, but what can you do.

This is just the other end of Newton. And this is why why just have network over-the-air TV….we have really good reception.
Today at work we did pendulum painting. The empty glue bottles worked brilliantly, and all of them hanging there together was, as my coworker and I decided, very satisfying.
Went to the local Swap Shop today to drop off a few things, and spotted this pet bed. Brought it home, washed it and set it out on the porch. Ferrous spotted it immediately, and after staring at it with some apprehension, he stepped forward to investigate.

Some of my work friends will recognize this car, and some will view it with joy and fondness, while others will view it with unadulterated loathing. It’s getting a new paint job this week….not sure what’s happening to it after that.
I was happy to be able to get Ollie off the eggs without incident. Turns out, they’re all what herpetologists call “slugs.” So I will dispose of them. What an exciting little chapter in Ollie’s story.
For days, Ollie has been under his log. Hasn’t budged. Usually that means he’s shedding, but he just shed a few weeks ago. So today, I stomped in there, told him I’d had enough, opened the tank….and found this. And now I am totally flipping out. Flipping…the… fuck…out…..
