Saw Avenue Q at at the Lyric Stage today. The Lyric seats just over 200 people, so it’s a very intimate theater. This means you can really see the performers–both human and puppet–very well. For example, I had never noticed before that naked Kate Monster has boobies! Who knew!
I’m told this symbol, which is to be found in several places around the kitchen, means there is a wall stud at this location. Of course, I looked at it and said “oh god, NOW how much more money will this cost????”
I’m amused that the contractor installing the cabinets has this organized little box of wood scraps, although I’m sure he finds himself using them all the time.
The REI in Framingham is putting up solar panels in the parking lot. This will provide 65% of the store’s power needs and provide sheltered parking. Pretty cool.
I came into my office today to find that someone had left a Frisbee with a rather large and impressive, but no longer living, sea star on my chair. I hate when that happens.
Of course, I still say the winner is the time someone left me a styrofoam cup with a frog in it. A live frog.
