The president likes to take over one of the conference rooms and decorate for the holidays and offer a spread of tasty desserts.  You’ll see the frighteningly huge nutcracker from yesterday has relocted himself….like an Elf on the Shelf from Hell.

Some folks at work had a rather intense, borderline violent competetion for holiday decorations of their office doors.  This was one contestant.  I voted for a different one….one that didn’t scare me and make me go “BAH!!!”

It’s been a while since I was at the Kendall T stop, and while I waited today, I perused this display about MIT’s long and glorious history.

Yes, it’s another cat picture.  But come ON..!  How cute is this??!?

From his usual position of flat on his back, paws in the air. Always so dignified and aloof.

I don’t know why I have this fascination with photographing feet, but here’s another one.

I was looking at the feet of the woman on the right, who at the time was sitting alone. I was baffled that she would have chosen to wear this type of shoe on such a cold day. Her feet were very red and looked cold. I had just decided to go ahead and take a picture when another woman sat down beside her, shod in far more appropriate footwear.  It made for a much better shot.

So there’s a binder of program information out in “my” exhibit, and someone spilled water on it such that every page got soaked, even through the plastic covers.  So I spent the afternoon reprinting the binder (and watching Ted talks while I did so), and propping open the page protectors with corks so they will dry out.

I was looking for something in my jewelry box and came across my class ring.  It was a very big deal at the time, received at the official Sophomore Ring Dance. 

There’s nothing to see here. Go about your business.
