This is a serval (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serval). Doug and I were lucky enough to see one in the wild in South Africa many years ago, but it is pretty cool to have one stop by my workplace. What, that doesn’t happen at your job?
In between stepping off the train and walking in the front door, the rain turned to sleet and the sun came out (at the same time) and the temperature dropped a good 10 degrees. Ah, New England.
This not a very good picture. It is a significant one, however. It shows a merganser diving under the water. He could do that because the water is in a liquid state, not a solid one. In other words, IT MELTED!!!!
This is me and my mom (right) with my Auntie Janie (center). She’s my mom’s oldest friend, and I haven’t seen her in years. She’s in town for a visit, and my mom brought her over, though she didn’t know whose house it was until I opened the door. So wonderful to see her!
I admit, I’ve never actually seen a 3D printer in action before. I’ve seen on sitting dormant, and I’ve seen the finished product, but never watched one work. As I watched, I had an entertaining conversation with a 14 year old about how cool 3D printing is.
