some people take their pumpkin carving very seriously.

someone carefully peeled a price sticker of something and affixed it to this subway pole. I find this kind of funny. I guess they were bored.

even if you’re not really into bugs (which I’m not either), you have to admit, this guy is pretty cool lookin’.

when I get visitors who think they’re too old too just play with magnets, I show them this trick.  Then they spend the next 10 minutes trying to do it, and improve on it. Success.

I am one of those people who can’t just leave a straw wrapper (or, in this case, chopstick wrapper) alone. Last night, after about 10 minutes of folding, I said “oh look, I made an L.”  so here we are.

This time I was cutting veggies and the cats were milling about, so I actually tossed them the slice of carrot to see what they would do. in the end, they declared it uninteresting. more evidence that it is green vegetables that they really hate.

I think it’s cool that hydrangeas’ flower color depends on the pH of the soil, but it’s especially cool that one bush can have flowers of two different colors.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: I just never know what I’ll see as I walk down the back corridor at work…

I knew K was going to be a bit of a challenge, so I was pretty pleased when I spotted this. The next few letters should be a bit simpler….
