don’t you hate it when there’s a giant rat on top of your car?

oh dear god help us…pinkberry  is coming to South Station.

it was kind of eye-catching, really

plastic plates, strewn about the dining room floor as though a tornado had blown through! they had all been so neatly stacked on the table! how on earth could this possibly have happened?

started the year with our traditional new year’s brunch, which meant bringing out the plastic dishes

I suppose there are a few things about 2012 that are worth recycling….

I got a packet of thank you notes from a class I taught a couple weeks back.  they were all adorable, but I especially liked this one:  that’s me on the front of the card, with the pieces of foam that the kids will build with (black stripes) and the tupperware containers of building materials (blue boxes), of which there actually are six. also, the row of chairs in the front; they are, in fact, in primary colors. 

there was an egg drop at work today. here are some of the test subjects.

apparently, at the last minute, Kat panicked and thought there wouldn’t be enough food so she made an emergency pan of gingerbread. which turned out not to be even remotely necessary, but was certainly delicious.

I didn’t ever figure I’d get something that looked exactly like a Q, so I’m pretty pleased with this idea. Merry Christmas.
