I finally figured out how to do a color pop!  Huzzah!  It’s kind of a PITA, but not too terrible.

Anyway…..this toy belongs to Gandalf.  He doesn’t really play with it.  He just lies on top of it and guards it.

For the last couple weeks I have looked for red peppers at the Farmers Market.  This week, I didn’t actually need any.  So of course, here they are.

This is, obviously, a cat toy.  And let most cat toys, it often disappears for months (or even years) at a time, only to suddenly reappear.  It’s one of those Cat Mysteries.

I’ve decided to try to get back to actually posting daily pics. I figured I’d start with a theme.  Taking a cue from Kat, I’m going with a color: red

I have to admire this kid’s (I assume it’s a kid) marketing.  I fully intended to go over and get something, but completely forgot.  Sorry, kid.  Hope business was booming.

Recently I posted about 2 cats that some shelter “colleagues” and I are caring for while their owner is in the hospital.  Well….we’re still doing it. This is the other kitty; she’s super sweet and very cuddly. I just hope that once the owner is feeling better, he sends the shelter a big fat donation.

There was a community block party tonight, with  lots of local organizations present; also music, and lots of food.  One group that attended was an equine therapy group, and of course they brought a couple of their therapists with them.  This is Pablo.

I volunteered for a shelter event today: a screening of this year’s Cat VideoFest.  Before the film started, and before the previews, there was a series of shorts being shown.  They all involved (ironically) dogs and they were all incredibly bizarre.  Shown here:  the one was the woman dancing and singing while surrounded by people dressed as poodles and dalmations and whatever the hell that is on the left; and a bunch of dogs animated to dance in some kind of playground? Missing are the one with the woman tap dancing around her Jack Russell, and the Bollywood dance number that went on around a Golden Retriever (I have video of that one if you really want to see it).
