My ELL student Anna has her parents visiting from China for a few month. Her dad would like to sit outside and play his electric clarinet (more or less), but her husband told him it would bother the neighbors. So Anna asked her Dad to come out and play something. It was quite lovely, and I told her that her husband should shut up, and that the neighbors won’t complain.
