It&#8217;s a macro lens, making the kind of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.parkercat.org\/doug_project_365\/2010\/07\/closeup-series-extreme-closeup.html\">closeup<\/a> shots you&#8217;ve seen here in the past much easier.
