This is my car coffee mug. That I carried it into the office with me this morning — instead of leaving it in the car as I usually do — indicates I probably should have put more coffee in it before leaving home.
I purchased this clock, probably at Lechmere, when I was still in college. Yesterday it suffered a catastropic fall that broke the movement off the back of the face. I was able to repair it tonight using that old college staple, FunTack.
Lis and I were both home sick today, and to escape the house when our cleaning service arrived we went to visit the local countertop showroom. Here we have one of the candidate tiles for backsplash behind the stove.

On some evenings, when I’m too tired to cook what I had planned, and too cranky to stop somewhere and pick up food, I like to have breakfast for dinner. Today had such an evening.
I like to think I’m pretty good at loading a dishwasher. Tonight’s load was extra challenging due to all the plastic containers, which tend to fly around and fill with water. We’ll see how I did in a couple hours.
