father and son

there’s no great story here. I got off the train today and realized I hadn’t taken a picture yet. This boy and his dad were walking along in front of me, talking about their days, and I thought “well, that’s a  nice little shot.”  So here it is.

the Charlayne

Every office has a Charlayne. You know her, she’s the person who keeps a jar or two of candy in their office, available for anyone who wants some. Where I work, she doesn’t even care if she’s in the office when you come by. In fact, if she is in the office, you don’t even need to say hi to her; just grab a handful and go.

the Charlayne can be a dangerous person.

what can it mean?

It’s a picture of the fridge. Now why, you may ask, did I bother taking such an uninteresting picture. Well…the interesting thing is not so much the fridge, but the fact that there is something stuck to it. Having things on the fridge has been strictly verboten since we put our house on the market last July.  So, the fact that there is something on the fridge can only mean one thing…

proof

I know, I know…we got a foot of snow last week, and we’re supposed to get a couple of inches tomorrow. And even though it’s been near 60 for the past few days, it’s still March in New England and we can’t relax yet.  But….there are flowers starting to peek their little heads up, so I know that spring is coming. date night

Doug is out of town skiing, so that means I’m having dinner and a movie with Rachel. As is our wont, we dined at the local Chinese place and Rachel ordered our favorite dish, “sizzling three delights with noodles.” It was, as always, very tasty and we had a lovely time.

heavenly

Here I am in  one of my favorite places in the whole world: my massage therapist’s room.  Aaahhh…..

(and yes, I really did take this with the timer setting on my camera. I set the camera on a table, set the timer, pressed the shutter,  and hopped under the blanket as quick as I could.)

snake boo boo

We have a new snake at work–he doesn’t have a name yet, I’ve just been calling him Mister NewSnake. Anyway, I took him out today for a little getting-to-know-you time, and I noticed this small mark on his skin. I don’t think it’s anything major; in fact, it appears that he lost a scale at that spot, but I still want to have it looked at.

I actually photographed it so I could send it to my snake-expert friends, and then decided it made a perfectly good picture of the day.

pins and needles

Those are my legs and feet. And while yes, my legs are quite hairy, that’s not all hair you see. Those are accupuncture needles.
March 4 2009

I started getting accupuncture to help a chronic pain in my shoulder. I was skeptical, but desperate. And while it only kind of helped the shoulder, it has done wonders for stress, anxiety and energy levels, so I keep it up.

problem?

I’m not sure exactly what was going on here. This guy walked over to this sign, shook it a bit, kicked the snow away from the bottom, and then shook the sign some more. He repeated this pattern several times. Odd.
