This street tree (an old Norway maple)\u00a0 has been dropping branches on us for a while now, and we&#8217;ve been after the city to take it down for a while. From the condition of the stump you can see why. The center of growth is rotted out so the rings are hard to count, but by my estimate it was 70-100 years old.
