I keep a stuffed chicken in my desk drawer to use as a sunshade for those brief few days a year when the setting sun is directly in my face.

Our water service started to leak out into the street last week, and today the city came, dug a giant hole, and fixed it. And I was able to watch them off & on through our doorbell camera, on my phone.

In my city we have an extra ballot question on Super Tuesday this year: a group seeks to overturn our city council’s approval of a development project. Those who know me can, I’m sure, guess which way my vote will go.

Gandalf somehow found this little tube-cleaning brush and got it attached to his fur today. We had to cut it out.

It’s National Banana Bread Day, don’t you know?

I had a day without much going on today, so dinner was an all-afternoon braise.

Ferrous had words with a neighbor cat today.

There are two ninjas cats on this sofa.

We added a few desks in my office, right up against the front windows, and I got one! It’s only a move of about 10 feet, but the improvement in the view is dramatic.

My earbuds died, and the new ones are more waterproof which is great — but means they come with a special tiny little charging cable. It seems easy to lose, so I sewed a keyring & chain into the carrying pouch to hopefully keep it from wandering off.
