Leaving Falmouth harbor

Roz was over this evening and we sat on the patio after dinner. We had someone drop by unexpectedly.

We visited Plimouth Patuxet on a very hot day, and in one of the houses the staff had prepared a period salad of purslane and hard-boiled egg.

Some technologically advanced items work fine with small issues. Other lower-tech items are made useless by the smallest defect. Like this stove igniter with a crack in its ceramic insulator.

We’re glad that Lis’s knee immobilizer (temporarily taken off for some evening relief) is comfortable for someone.

Evidently Boston is a stand-in for New York for filming something in the  Walking Dead franchise. This morning they’re hauling off the prop vehicles from near my office.

My new camera has a dedicated black & white mode, and I had some fun playing around with it at today’s Memorial Day BBQ.

I’m smoking some pork ribs for dinner tonight, plus some turkey tenders to go into other recipes. I think I’d have trouble fitting much more without a bigger smoker.
