I have taken so many photos of this gazebo on Ocean Park over the years. But none with the clouds quite so cooperative as this one.

Vacationer’s delight

We went to Edgartown for dinner, and had a look at the harbor beforehand. If I had the kind of money for a large sailboat, I’m not sure maroon would be my first choice of color. Especially given other meanings of the word.

One must have ice cream when vacationing on Martha’s Vineyard.

Calm harbor early on Friday morning of Labor Day Weekend

We’re back on the island, making good use of the front porch.

These glass bowls being unloaded from the dishwasher reminded me of an exploded view of a camera lens.

I bought my lunch today from a vendor (Flour Bakery) on Boston Common, with every intention of taking it back to my office to eat it there. But given the 100% perfect weather I felt compelled to eat outside.

We had an electrician out to install a 2nd car charger in the garage. I also had him re-wire the rest of the garage to the new subpanel, abandoning the old circuit carried in a circa-1935 buried conduit. I was worried about the condition of that conduit given its age, but it turns out it was in great shape because inside the conduit was the lead-jacketed cable you see here. Ah well, at least it’s all up to code now, but I do have to figure out how to safely dispose of this old cable.

Jeff and Claire hosted us at their place in Provincetown for a few days, and we rented a boat to go tooling around the harbor looking for seals.
