Good progress packing up the basement today.

When we started to show the house, we were amazed at how well this stuff worked to calm down our kitties, especially Winnie.

It is a synthetic version of the pheromone that cats produce from their facial scent glands — the ones they use to mark stuff that they like.  So this scent makes them feel at ease, which they will definitely need in the new house.  Our sellers have agreed to set these up for us before we move in.  With luck, this will make their transition to their new home easier.

I had a dentist appointment today.

We got to do a full set of X-rays.  I love the way the little film pouches dig into the inside of your mouth.

Oh where, oh where is our BBQ spit?

I guess this chicken is going in the oven.  Oh well, the weather’s not really warm enough to spit-roast a chicken tonight anyway.

Traffic on the Mass Pike this morning was worse than it’s been in months.

There’s an automated external defibrillator at my work now, waiting to be installed.

Presumably, training will follow. I hope we never have to use it.

Going to bed tonight, I noticed a cool shadow on the wall that I’ve never noticed before.  The light fixture hasn’t moved, and neither has the item casting the shadow.  So I’m not certain why this has never struck me before.

The question remains… do you see a chalise, or 2 upturned-nose kitty faces?

We went to a milestone birthday party at Summer Shack near Alewife T station, which is a low-atmosphere, good-food seafood restaurant run by Jasper White.  This place used to be a kitchy Polynesian restaurant, and rather than get rid of the big statue outside…

…they turned it into a fisherman.

I saw this truck on my way to work this morning.

What I want to know is… what’s an R&R crossing?  Relaxation & Recreation?  Rock & Roll?  It makes no sense!
