I mowed the lawn today for the first time in 3 weeks — it really needed it. What this meant is that the subject of the following picture was very visible.
This is a path worn in the lawn by some sort of animal — my guess is our neighborhood fox on his rounds. If I had a motion sensor setup for my camera, I’d give it a try.

Lis and I went walking in a cemetery today (yes, for the 2nd Sunday in a row). Today we went to the famous Mt Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge/Watertown.
Painted turtles like this one are a common sight in & around just about any body of water in Massachusetts, but they are seldom calm enough around people to allow a good photo.
