I spent some quality time with this giant caramel latte this morning. The thought that ran through my brain was “It comes in pints??”

I racked the Happy Monk to secondary tonight.

This is the inside of a nutmeg. It’s going into — of course — eggnog.

I spent much of today painting porch parts. Here’s the spandrel.

First shipment of porch parts arrived today.

Rachel and Fred missed the main event on Thursday due to illness. So they came over tonight to help us with some of the leftovers, and brought a cake.

Here’s the Happy Monk fernenting away.  I think the yeast floating around makes it look a bit like the atmosphere of a gas giant planet.

This smiley face appeared in the foam atop the wort while brewing a Belgian Tripel with Nate today.  I take it as a good sign, and will call the completed beer Happy Monk.

I did our 22 pound CSA turkey proud, if I do say so myself.

Marla and Nate and Lis made a beautiful and delicious challah for Thanksgiving dinner.
