We bought some new aquarium fish today. But we forgot to write down what varieties we bought. So I took a picture to send to the fish store.

As we were then reminded, this is a Blue Ram, a type of cichlid.

We recently received a Very Nice cut of beef from our meat csa, nice enough that I want to grill it over charcoal rather than gas. So I have purchased the 2011 incarnation of the very same grill we all had straight out of college.

I love that in late spring on a pleasant New England evening, it’s possible to sit outside with a book (and some other treats) at 8:15 pm.

I’ve undertaken a lot of home-repair projects.  But it’s still a bit nerve-wracking to widen cracks in old plaster to this extent. You need to do it, though, so the new plaster makes a strong repair.

I installed new lighting fixtures near the stairs on all 3 levels today, ones that will take LED bulbs. Since we leave these on quite a bit this should save us some electricity.  The color temperature is a little higher than I would have liked, but given they’re in hallways they’ll do just fine. And now that we have enough light in our foyer it’s clear I need to paint in here!
