Four tulips. It would have been five, but some animal in our neighborhood likes to eat them. This is the most we’ve ever gotten.

I’ll be commuting via train again this summer.  The T has switched commuter rail passes to being printed on Charlie cards (RFID, as opposed to mag-stripe Charlie tickets), which is great for me because they’re more reliable & convenient for the Red Line turnstiles.

We attended Dave & Kathleen’s wedding near Annapolis. It was great to see the happy couple start their new life together — and see some other seldom-seen friends in the process.

With apologies to my friends who live there, this is how I think of Connecticut.

Lis and I did a Paint Nite (OK, paint afternoon) in Kenmore Square today. This is my work in progress; you’ll have to go into the gallery (our garage) to see the finished product.

They’re reconfiguring the road in front of my workplace, as I’ve commented on before.  They’re about to make major changes, and here they’re harvesting the historic cobblestones, which I’m sure will fetch a good price from landscapers.

What’s this? A horrible ironic incident in which I cut off an entire finger of my new cut-proof gloves? No, it just turned inside out when I took it off. And that’s carrot juice, not blood.

I *was* going to try to be productive this morning. Gandalf on my feet was bad enough. But then Ferrous came and half-burrowed under the blanket on my lap.

No, these are not old wrinkled oranges — they’re quite fresh.  These are “Sumo Mandarins” from Boston Organics.
