Today I built a table for our porch out of leftover deck boards.

I feel like I’m in Sleeper.

I’m in San Diego for business. The drink napkins at this restaurant display one of Lis’s favorite jokes.

Here’s a crocus aching to bloom.

I borrowed Greg’s miter saw to do the miter cuts for the picture frame moulding for the dining room project.  Without it I’d still be cutting.  Thanks Greg!

It hasn’t even really started to warm up yet and already it’s hairball season for poor Parker.

Here you’ll see the final color coat on the upper part of our dining room walls.  Lis picked out this color and it’s quite striking. I used Benajmin Moore’s new Aura paint, which is expensive but covered in this color in one coat! Worth every penny.

Those of you who have been to our old Southboro house know that Lis and I are not afraid of color when it comes to paint.  Here you can see the wainscot project’s progress: primer on the panels, and a swatch of the color selection on the upper part of the walls.

In an effort to dress up our dining room, I’m installing rail and stile wainscoting.  Here you see the basic flat stock and chair rail installed.
