Striking Boston hotel workers marched past my office today.

Today I rebuilt Lis’s booth table in preparation for her fair next weekend. This 40-year-old aluminum table is light, easy to carry, and about the right size. But its pressboard top had become warped and unstable, so I replaced it with thin plywood. We’ll see how it goes!

I went to the Mini Maker Faire at Lis’s workplace today. There were many cool things to be seen, not the least this giant moving manta ray sculpture.

I like this beer tankard but only really get to use it for one season of the year. And yes, I know, I’ve got the wrong brand of beer in it.

I wanted to warm up some pitas for dinner this evening, so I looked up some suggestions online for the best way to go about it. The directions I chose resulted in the very crisp pitas on the right. Not what I was going for.

Never eat anything bigger than your head. I made an exception for this croissant because, you know, they’re half air anyway.

I’m pretty sure I have posted almost this exact shot in past years. But they sure are photogenic!

I cleaned out my briefcase today. For some reason I’ve been saving my expired T passes. It’s gonna feel so much lighter now!

(Yes, the MBTA sends out new RFID-bearing cards every month. Yes, it’s dumb. It’s because the conductors on the commuter rail don’t have RFID readers and so need to see the printed pass.)

For some reason there was a drone flying above the train station this morning, clearly filming the trains.

I had actually never been inside Pizzeria Regina (the original, in the North End) before today.
