We were happy to have a quite pleasant evening in the midst of a hot humid week tonight. 

It’s a mystery what flowers & plants are going to come up in our new house’s garden.  This week’s surprise: black-eyed susans.

My entire family was at the house today to celebrate my dad’s 80th birthday.

We made cupcakes from scratch for my dad’s 80th birthday, which we’re celebrating tomorrow.

Lis and I walked down to West Newton for dinner tonight.  On the way back we spotted this sign.

I always wondered where one is supposed to park one’s stickers.

I made some biscotti last week as an attempt to keep myself out of Dunkin Donuts on those mornings when I need a little breakfast at work.  Today I made another batch, of a different flavor.

The good weather is back!  I cooked myself some locally-caught striped bass on the grill tonight, with an olive/tomato/garlic/hot pepper salsa.  (Yes, Lis is not home this evening.)  I think the smell brought these guys out earlier than usual.

I had a busy, productive day at work today.  It’s hard to take a picture of software, or of the design or implementation thereof.  And the weather is more like April than July today, so there’s not a lot of photo opportunity outside.  I made a yummy but not particularly attractive dinner.

But Winnie is awfully photogenic.  And thus Project 365 lives for one more day.

A couple of my coworkers are in a band.  A while back, I saw an article on Slashdot about a way to get your CDs listed on Amazon.com, and shared it with them.  Well today, Jay handed me a copy of their new CD as thanks.

Lis and I went for a bike ride today, along the Charles down to Watertown Square.  On the way back, we passed this sign.
