A lovely day for a paddle on the Charles in Sherborn today.

This taproom is going in where The Local was in West Newton

I went out after work with Kat & Bob in the Seaport. Here’s our final round of beers to round out the gorgeous summer solstice evening.

The first visible very early step in the process of rebuilding my local train station is these marks on the existing platform for “soil boring”, so the engineers know what soil conditions they’re dealing with. This is exciting to see, but it’s going to be a long process, and I hope to see its completion by the time I retire.

The new Dewey Square mural (almost finished) is one of the better ones.

I’m not sure what this duck was discussing with all these geese, but I hope our canoeing by didn’t interrupt anything important.

I had a Boston Speed Dog today.

That’s a half-pound Pearl hot dog on a griddled bun, topped with chili, BBQ sauce, mustard, and onions. The food truck has been closed since around 2013, but Troquet in the leather district inherited the rights and is serving the original recipe once again.

We went to the Steampunk Festival in Waltham today, and saw many things, including this jug band.

We’ve got a little forest of these woodland phlox flowers right now.
