I was all set to post the one picture I took today, of a foggy day in Quincy. When I sat down on the hammock swing to do so, I saw the following molted cicada skin and had to go get the big camera.
One of the culinary sources I respect (Cooks Illustrated) does not like the wok for American kitchens because we don’t have the stovetop firepower to use one effectively. I, on the other hand, spent a fairly ridiculous amount of money on a good stove. I did so in part so I can use my 20-year-old $15 wok.
