That’s one heck of a thumbtack that can be pushed into a stone tabletop.

We sacked the old one.

I must say, the plum tart from yesterday’s post came out excellent.

We bought tiny little Italian plums at a farmers market last weekend, but they never really sweetened up.  So I am making an open-faced tart.

Michael’s bachelor party tonight began with sushi.

Oh, Zyrtec: I forgot to take you for just one day!  Why have you abandoned me to my sniffy fate?

I had my very first Boston Speed Dog today.  I have to say, that’s quite a good (and large!) hot dog.

Before you can repair cracks in an old horsehair plaster wall, you have to enlarge the cracks back to solid material so the new plaster has somewhere to bind to.

At 8:30 pm tonight I remembered I was supposed to cook rice and black beans for tomorrow’s dinner (Flautas, though more burrito-like than those pictured) tonight.  Good thing I remembered!
