I’m trying a theme this week; we’ll see how interesting it is. The theme is fabric: I’ll be doing closeups of some different types of woven & knit materials.
Today’s fabric is the cotton webbing I am using to redo the seats of our dining room chairs.
I’m replacing the old blue seat tape on our Shaker-style chairs. I origially built these chairs (from a kit) 16 years ago and the original tape is a bit the worse for wear; I’m also regluing some of the joints. The new color goes better in the new dining room.
I borrowed Greg’s miter saw to do the miter cuts for the picture frame moulding for the dining room project. Without it I’d still be cutting. Thanks Greg!
Bonus picture: the finished product! Phone photo does not do it justice. Already it feels like it should have been this way all along.
