Lis and I were both home sick today, and to escape the house when our cleaning service arrived we went to visit the local countertop showroom.  Here we have one of the candidate tiles for backsplash behind the stove.

On some evenings, when I’m too tired to cook what I had planned, and too cranky to stop somewhere and pick up food, I like to have breakfast for dinner. Today had such an evening.

I like to think I’m pretty good at loading a dishwasher.  Tonight’s load was extra challenging due to all the plastic containers, which tend to fly around and fill with water.  We’ll see how I did in a couple hours.

In the epic Cheddar Bunny Battle, there were no victors.

 
Except me. Because I got to eat the wounded.

Seven degrees F this morning.

I think this cheese & pears will make me a couple very nice breakfasts this week.

Ahh streaming NetFlix, saving us from the doldrums of winter television.

Our new phone system sends me email with our phone messages, so the Glowing Orange Light of Voicemail is no longer a surprise waiting for me when I come home.

Evidently I have a deviated septum.
