The faucet for the new kitchen’s prep sink arrived today. It’s not an optical illusion: the prep-sink one is slightly smaller.

Yes it’s early, but the things I’m ordering are relatively small & inexpensive, and I don’t want to deal with having to run around finding them later.

Recently I have been watching Julia Child.  Despite the shows being nearly as old as I am, they’re still good.

I wore my sunglasses on the way home tonight, for the first part of the drive at least.

Looks like a good day for some skiing.

I’m at Sunday River this weekend.  Our condo complex is truly ski-in/ski-out.

I’ve got some leftover white wine that’s past its prime, so I am making wine vinegar using the mother from a store-bought bottle of red wine vinegar. (Bonus points to those who can name the movie I’m quoting in this post’s title.)

I had outpatient sinus surgery today, which appears to have gone as planned. They provided me with what I hope is an overly ambitious supply of gauze to help deal with bleeding over the next couple of days.

We’re having our property surveyed in order to figure out exactly where we can put an addition. I guess there’s a boundary marker under there somewhere.
