Lis and I took a walk in Auburndale Park today.  I didn’t bring my wildlife lens because of the threat of rain. So of course, we came across very photogenic and cooperative wood ducks. This was the best shot I could get of them.

It turns out there’s a tropical volcano inside our wall.  I think this project is going to be more involved than I realized.

Testing out a motion-sensitive webcam in the basement today, I caught one of our plumbers investigating our Samovar

This is as good a time as any to take the first frame of the kitchen project time-lapse.

I figured out a way to mount my good camera to a woodworking clamp, so I’ll be able to take time-lapse photos of our upcoming kitchen project, removing and replacing the camera to keep it out of harm’s way.  Gorilla Pod, you got nothing on me.

Our kitchen is packed into boxes.

The sinks for the new kitchen arrived today.  Here’s the prep sink. Sadly, it probably won’t have carrots (or any food) in it again until June.

We had some visitors from the home office today, and a few of us went out to dinner with them at a restaurant off Marina Bay.

Tonight was our first use of the charcoal grill this season. Given we’ll be without a kitchen for most of the next 3 months, I predict a lot more of this in our future.
