Nice dinner out at Tempo in Waltham tonight. I have to admit, this beer was not what I was expecting when I ordered it, but it was excellent. Brewed in Framingham, too.
An advantage of my September experiment: I walk right by Rosie’s Bakery in South Station. This morning the blueberry scones were fresh out of the oven, and still warm by the time I got to the office.
I bought myself a manual coffee grinder. Evidently it’s Japanese. There’s not a lick of English on the box or instruction sheet. Good thing the instructions are basically “Put in coffee. Turn handle.”
Q: What happens to the ends of the proscuitto ham that are too small to be sliced & sold for $18/pound? A: Lis buys them (for pennies on the dollar) and Doug turns them into yummy risotto, pasta, or soup.
