When I made sausages for New Years brunch, the mixer was making some alarming sounds. This here is the innards of a KitchenAid, though I can’t get the broken part out because I need a tool (snap ring pliers) to do so.

I vacuumed the Gandalf fur out of our kickspace heater today. You can clearly see how much the cherry wood of the toekick has darkened in the light, as compared to the section behind the heater’s metal grate.

I have a cold. I figure an Imperial pint of orange juice will do me more good than what I usually put in this glass.

A pretty dusting of snow on the patio.

This is my sous vide setup. It currently has lamb shanks in it, which we shall eat Friday night, 48 hours hence.

A warm cat is helpful on a chilly evening.

Why yes, I would like some dessert to go with this evening’s TV watching.  We’ll save the bananas for breakfast.

I think we’re set for the time being.
