The Obamas had dinner tonight at Sweet Life, just up the street from the Vineyard house. This was the view from our porch as he came out of the restaurant.

Vinyl on display in this little corner of the loft — and yes, the turntable is operational. In the top row we have (left to right) comedy, jazz, and soundtracks. Underneath is classic rock & 80s rock. The classical records (mostly from my brother) are too numerous to keep here.

I made a facsimile of the box that the TV we plan to order comes in, to see if it fits up our stairs. I made it on the 3rd floor and this photo is in the living room, so I’d say we’re good to go.

These are all Italian bitter liquers for use in Negronis and related cocktails next week… ON THE ISLAND!!!

Of all the leftovers from the Zim-B-Q these are the best.  Who doesn’t love cherries?

Zim is in town and we hosted a BBQ in his honor.

I took a half day off from work today to build the console table’s base.

I returned to Ikea today to buy the remaining cabinets for the loft that would not have fit in the car last time.
