Here is Lis, flying our stunt kite. Extreme field of view (and curvature) due to 10.5mm fisheye lens.
Bonus photo: a beautiful shot taken by Kat, with my 500mm mirror lens, from the bow of her B&B sailboat.
I love how the extreme focal lengths (at opposite ends of the scale) are what made these two shots possible, by capturing something different from what the human eye sees.

Welcome to the Vineyard
Strange heron
We went canoeing on the Charles today, where we saw this heron. Note the white neck: great blue herons usually have a much greyer neck. We’re unclear if this individual is an accidental visitor (the grey heron from Europe and the cocoi heron from South America look somewhat like this), a hybrid with a great white heron (from Florida), or if this coloration is just natural variation. I’ve certainly never seen one like this before.
