Metallic chrysalis

This butterfly chysalis looks like it’s made of metal.  It’s not.

According to Wikipedia, metallic chrysalises are common, but I’d never seen one before.

  1. I think the most amazing part is how the caterpillar found the nail, and then hammered it into the tree like that.
